Structure and contents

The most recent news, events and articles relating to the Information Society Programme are available on the front page. In addition to the front page, the site is divided into five main sections: Key issues, Introduction, Contents, Best practices and Information Society Council. Each section consists of sub-sections.

Information can be obtained from the texts, annexed documents, related links and files available on the pages. To read pdf-files, you need the freeware Adobe Acrobat Reader. It can be downloaded directly from the Adobe website.

Language versions

The main language of these pages is Finnish. A part of the information is also available in Swedish and English. The language versions are not equivalent and some material may only be available in one of the languages.

How to use the pages

You can search information on these pages via the sitemap, by browsing the different sections or by using a free text search. Help on the use of the free text search is available next to the search form. The search function will conduct a search within all language versions of the content pages plus the titles, descriptions and text of the attached pdf-files.

You can contact the Office of the Information Society Programme. The pages contain a feedback form if you wish to make comments regarding the programme or the Internet pages.

Alternative ways are offered in order to make navigation on the pages easier. A navigation element is provided on the left hand side of the page listing all pages that can be found under the current navigation level. A bread crumb trail indicates your location within the page hierarchy.

Regardless of the link clicked, no distinction is made between the use of upper and lower cases.

All content pages contain a print version that can be retrieved via the link at the bottom of the page in question.

The relevant meta information is in line with public administration recommendation JHS 143. The keywords follow the Government keywords.

Official documents relating to the programme can be requested from the Government Registry and the registries of relevant ministries.
